The neighborhoods which directly access Maple Valley Highway (SR 169), were absorbed into the Maplewood Addition annexation to the City of Renton and removed from the area of the proposed City of Fairwood.  All of the following northern neighborhoods were removed from the boundary of Fairwood:
Maplewood Addition, Cedar River Apartments, Molasses Creek Condominiums, Pioneer Place, Wonderland Estates, River Valley, Valley Springs Apartments, Emerald Crest, Summerfield and Valley View.
