Water and Sewer Services | Cedar River Water and Sewer Distict (CRWSD) | This district provides water and sewer services to the northern half of the Fairwood Community. Read more about the CRWSD. | | Soos Creek Water and Sewer Distict (SCWSD) | This district provides water and sewer services to the southern half of the Fairwood Community. Read more about the SCWSD. | The water source for the Fairwood community is the Cedar River Watershed, which is owned by Seattle Public Utilities. The water is tapped by local water districts at the Lake Youngs' Reservoir. Wastewater is conveyed by facilities of each district to the King County Department of Natural Resources' south treatment plant in Renton for sanitary disposal. Actions of the Boundary Review Board in June 2006, require comment, concerning the map (below) - In the north, the neighborhoods that directly access the Renton-Maple Valley Highway (SR169) were removed from the proposed City of Fairwood.
- In the west, Lindbergh High School and the Renton Park neighborhood were also removed from the proposed City of Fairwood.
